Yes — Vanlifer is 100% free. The map, the spots, messaging and the community feed are all free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
What can I do with the app?
Find spots to park and sleep, motorhome aires, drinking water and waste/service points, and wild camping — all shared and reviewed by the community. You can also meet vanlifers nearby, post in the feed and pin your own spots.
Is it like park4night?
It blends a park4night-style spots map with a friendly vanlife social network: spots with photos, services and reviews, plus people nearby, a feed and meet-ups.
Do I need to install anything?
You can install the native apps from the App Store and Google Play, or just open vanlifer.org/app on any phone and add it to your home screen — it works as a progressive web app (PWA).
Does it work offline?
You need a connection to load fresh spots and the map, but once a spot is open you can read its details. Save the spots you like so they are quick to find on the road.
